Beer Ingredients

SG. 1.050  -- IBUs.  18   5 Gallon All grain  Pre-Prohibition Lager / Competition Winner

01-C Light Lager- Premium American Lager

3.5 Lb. US 2 Row

3.5 Lb. US 6 Row

3.5 Lb. Flaked Barley

1/2 ounce Cluster @ 7.9 AAU

1/2 once Cascade @ 5.3 AAU

White Labs WLP840 American Lager Yeast

5 oz. corn sugar for bottling ( If not Kegging)

 

Mash @ 1.4 quarts water per Lb.

    Protein Rest @ 122 degrees for 30 min.

    Intermediate Rest @ 135 Degrees for 30 min.

    Saccharification Rest @ 147 Degrees for 45 min.

    Mash out @ 168 degrees for 10 Min

    Sparge @ 168 degrees for 60 Min.

Make a 16 oz. Yeast Starter 24 hr in advance

    Pitch yeast @ 60 degrees. As soon as fermentation starts, lower the temperature to 55 degrees.

    Primary for 10 days, Secondary @ 50 degrees then lager for @ for 4-6 weeks.
