Beer Ingredients

Bavarian Helles  /  5 Gallon Batch / All Grain

    O.G. 1.052 – 1.055  - Hop IBU's 20 - 22

9- LB.  Weyermann Pilsen Malt

1/2- LB. Weyermann Munich Malt

1/2-LB. Weyermann Cara-Foam Dextrin Malt

1/2 oz.  Hallertau Mittelfruh  Hops (Mash hops) 60 min.

3/4- oz.  Hallertau Mittelfruh Hops (bittering hops)60 min.

1/2- oz.  Spalt Hops (finish hops)15 min.

1/4 oz.  Hallertau Mittelfruh  Hops (Aroma hops) 0 min.

1 ea. WLP830 German Lager Yeast

1- 1/4- cup Dry Malt (For Priming)

Mash grains in 3-1/2 gallon water

 @ 98 degrees for 30 minutes, @ 122 degrees for 30 minutes, @ 149 degrees for 30 minutes, @ 156 degrees for 60 minutes, 1/2 oz.  Hallertau Mittuelfruh  Hops (Mash hops) 60 min.

Mash out 10 min.@ 168 degrees, sparge @ 168 degrees. Boil for 60 minutes. Primary @ 55 degrees 4-6 days, secondary @ 50 degrees 10 -12 days, lager @ 42 degrees 10-14 day. Bottle with Dry Malt Blend,  Best aged for 8-12 weeks
