Beer Ingredients

  Gluten Free Ale : Med Hop Flavor

 

7 Lb. White Sorghum

1 Lb. Light Candy Sugar

2 Lb. Dry Rice Solids

8 oz. Malto Dextrin


    (1) 1-1/3 oz. Hallertau Hersbrucker hops (60 min)

    (2) 1 oz. Czech Saaz Hops (30 min)

    (3) 1 oz. Czech Saaz Hops  (5 min)

1 ea. Windsor Dry Yeast

5 oz. Dextrose for priming

 

    Remove 2 tablespoons of the candy sugar. Place in a small pan and heat to lightly caramelize. Heat 2-1/2 gallon of water to a steam and remove from the heat. Blend in first four ingredients. Bring the mix to a boil and add the first hops. Boil for 30 min. and add the 2nd hops. Boil for 25 min. and add the last hops. Boil for 5 min. and remove from heat. Cool mixture to 72 degrees. Add 2-1/2 gallon of water into the fermenter and add the cooled wort.  Aerate well and add the yeast.

 

Bottle condition for 2 weeks
