Beer Ingredients

Mild Bitter / Partial / 5 Gallon Batch

O.G. 1.046 - 24 IBU

Light Amber, Nice malt blend. Dry finish with English hop flavor.

 

2- Lb. Light Dry Malt Extract

2-3/4 Lb. Crushed Maris Otter Malt

1/2 Lb. English Crystal 60 L. malt

1/2 Lb. English Mild malt

1/2 Lb. Flaked Barley

1-1/2 ounce WhitBread Goldings Hops @ 4.5 AA (60 Min.) Bittering

1/4 ounce E. K. Goldings Hops @ 6 AA (15 Min.) Flavor

1/4 ounce U. K. Fuggles Hops @ 4.5 AA (15 Min.) Flavor

1/4 ounce WhitBread Goldings @ 4.5 AA (1 Min.) Aroma

Burton Water Salts ( add to Grain water)

# WLP1028 London Ale Yeast

1/2 Whirfloc tablet @ last 15 min of the boil

1-1/4 cup Light DME for Priming

Mash: Protein rest @ 122 degrees for 30 min. @ 150 degrees for 60 min. in 1 gallons of water. Sparge with 1-1/2 gallon water @ 170 degrees. Add Malt Extract to warm grain water. Add water to yield 2-1/2 gal. in brew pot.  Add Bittering hops at start of 60 minute boil.

Add both 1/2 oz. Flavor hops last 15 min. of the boil. Add Aroma Hops the last 1 minutes of the boil. Remove all hops before fermenting. Top up to 5 gallons with cold water in Fermenter.
