Beer Ingredients

S.G. 1054  -- IBUs. 18   5 Gallon Extract (60 Min. Boil)

Smoked Amber

7 Lb. Light Malt Extract

1 Lb. Crystal 80L. Crystal

8 oz. Smoked Malt

1st ) 1/2 oz. Cascade Hop Pellets (60 min.)

2nd) 1/4 oz. U.S. Saaz Hop Pellets (40 min.)

3rd) 1/4 oz Cascade Hop Pellets(30 min.)

 4th) 1/2 oz. U.S. Saaz Hop Pellets (15 min.)

5th) 1/4 oz. U.S. Saaz Hop Pellets (2 min.)

White Lab European Ale Yeast

Prime with 1-1/4 cup light DME

Steep All Grains in 1/2-gallon of 150 degree water for 45 minutes. Sparge with 1/2-gallon of water @ 170 degrees. Add water to brew pot for 2 gallon volume. Add malt extract and bring to a boil. Add the 1st hops and boil for 20 minutes. Next add the second hops and boil for 10 minutes, add 3rd hops and boil for 15 minutes add the 4th hops add boil for 13 minutes add the 5th hops and boil for 2 minutes Remove from heat and cool. Strain well and add to fermenter. Best Aged for 8-12 weeks.
