Beer Ingredients

SG. 1.055  -- IBUs.  22             5 Gallon All grain

    Winter Helles

 

7- Lb. Pilsner Malt

2 - 1/2  Lb. Maris Otter Malt

1- 1/4 Lb. Munich Malt

1/4 Oz.  Mt. Hood Hops @ 4.6 AAU  ( 75 Minute )

1/4 Oz.  Mt. Hood Hops ( 65 Minute )

1/4 Oz.  Mt. Hood Hops  ( 55 Minute )

1/2 Oz.  Tettnanger Hops  ( 15 Minute )

3/4 Oz.  Czech Saaz  ( 5 Minute )

1 ea. WLP838 Southern German Lager Yeast

Prime with 1-1/4 cup Light Dry Malt Extract

Mash in 3-3/4 gal. water @ 98 degrees for 30 minutes, 122 degrees for 30 minutes, 138 degrees for 30 min., 155 degrees for 60 minutes, mash out @ 168 degrees. Sparge 3-3/4 gal water @ 168 degrees.

Primary @ 55 degrees 5-7 days, secondary @ 50 degrees for 2 weeks, Lager @ 45 degrees for two weeks.
