Malty BBQ Sauce

     3 Tablespoons Melted Butter

    1/4 cup minced Garlic ( or to taste)

    1 Cup Strong Dark Ale ( Heavy Scottish )

    1/2 cup crushed tomato

    1/4 cup spicy mustard

    1/4 cup Amber Malt Extract

    2 tablespoons  Worcestershire sauce

    1 teaspoon powered ginger

    1 teaspoon black pepper

 

        Sauté garlic in butter in a quart saucepan over low heat until garlic is soft. Add all remaining             ingredients, whisk well, and simmer until thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning. Great on ribs, chops and steaks.
