Dandelion Wine

Follow the Basic recipe for One Gallon.

  7 Cups Dandelion petals

  1 Lb. Light Raisins

  One Gallon. Hot water

  2- Lb's Sugar

  3  tsp Acid Blend (for correcting acidity)

  1/2 - teaspoon Yeast Energizer ( yeast starter food)

  1/4 teaspoon Tannin powder ( for color & aids in clearing)

  1- Crushed Campden tablet ( to kill any wild yeast and bacteria)

  1- Premier Cuvee wine yeast

  Starting Gravity 1.090-1.095

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    Use yellow petals only   No green stems.  Place in Fruit bag with chopped raisins. Add all ingredients EXCEPT yeast. Cover and let stand for 24 hours.
