Tomato Wine (2)

Follow the Basic recipe for One Gallon.

 Red Tomato

4 Lb's Red Tomatoes

1 cup Raisins

 6 pints Luke warm water

 1-1/2- Lb's Sugar

 2-1/2- teaspoon Acid Blend (for correcting acidity)

 1- teaspoon Yeast Nutrient ( yeast starter food)

 1/4 teaspoon Tannin

 1- Crushed Campden tablet ( to kill any wild yeast and bacteria)

 1- Cuvee wine yeast

 Starting Gravity 1.080-1.085

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Green Tomato

Follow the Basic recipe for One Gallon.

4 Lb's Green Tomatoes (English Style )

6 Pints water

2-1/2 Lb's Sugar

1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

2 tsp Acid Blend

1/4 tsp Tannin

1 tsp Yeast Nutrient

1- Crushed Campden tablet ( to kill any wild yeast and bacteria)

1- Cuvee wine yeast

 Starting Gravity 1.080-1.085

 

For both recipes. Remove all bruised areas and press into Fruit bag.
