      The power grape of Italy’s famed Valpolicella, Bardolino and Amarone, Corvina is renowned for fruity, full-bodied wines with cherry aromas and a hint of almond.  The Veneto region stretches from the northeast border with Austria down to coastal Venice, with a mild continental climate ideal for long, controlled ripening and intense grapes. Corvina Classico has lush, intriguing aromas of ripe, red cherries and raspberries, delicate hints of almond, toast and spice, and a richly tannic finish that leaves the fruit lingering on your palate.  The Crushendo grape pack brings exquisite grape tannin and character to the wine, and the special Lalvin  yeast enhances the wonderful cherry fruitiness. While it is tempting to drink this wine right from the carboy, Corvina Classico will only reveal its delicate, yet powerful finish of cherry and almonds after a year of aging.  Those with the willpower to tuck away a few bottles will be rewarded by a decade of liquid velvet and bright, lingering fruitiness.  This dry classic pairs well with grilled beef, pork, and strong cheeses.

    La Cave Montagnac, France. Langurdoc-Roussillon (lang-dock roo-see-onh) is one of the oldest and  largest wine growing regions of France. The combination of a perfect Mediterranean climate and rich historic soil. Medium-full bodied bold wine, ruby red in colour with a deep dark plum and blackberry bouquet showing subtle accents of chocolate. Rich, lush and complex, soft black fruits combine with a hint of spiciness that follows through with a firm, tannic finish on the palate. This wine is a special blend of the renowned grape varieties traditional to the region: Mourvèdre, Carignane, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. Enjoyed with pepper steak or leg of lamb to simple ripe cheese with walnuts.

    Siena, Tuscany, Italy. Tuscany lies at the heart of Italian culture, language, literature and arts and its rolling hills are immortalized in the work of many famous Italian painters and wine makers. The fertile hills covered with olive and cypress trees along with vines, and the calcium-rich marl soil combine with endless Tuscan sunshine and cold nights to make an ideal wine-growing environment. These qualities help retain the intense varietal aromas of the 'Supertuscan'.   A bold, yet supple wine, expansive enough to be consumed with great pleasure, the big, smoky, earthy nose of ultra-ripe cherry and currant fruit is followed by a richly tannic finish. The Bright cherry and lively fruit of Sangiovese matches brilliantly with the firm structure of classic Cabernet Sauvignon and the dark fruit of the Merlot.
Serve with a rack of lamb with herbs, Tuscan-style meat dishes with tomato sauces, Stroganoff or meat grilled rare. You will fall in love with this wine named for a hillside Tuscan village, Castellina.
