VinBrite Mark III Gravity FilterVinbrite Mk3 without vent

Filtered wine not only looks magnificent, the clarity excites the taste buds and makes it irresistible.

Filtered wines always taste better.

Filtration is the quickest way to clear a wine and it ensures that it is more stable.

The first Vinbrite wine filter was originated way back in 1966. Over the years, this filter kit has constantly been updated to keep at the forefront  of home wine filtration.
The latest Vinbrite Mk3 kit (released November 2002) incorporates new developments comprising  “Hi-Tech” premium grade Crystalbrite pads and venting system.  As a result we have achieved a much faster flow rate whilst also producing an increased amount of filtered wine. This has been the result of constant research into new filter media and the inclusion of a venting system for the filter body. These new hi-tech Crystalbrite pads are slightly thicker than the previous ones.
  • They are extremely efficient when compared to any other filtering media.

This means that, all wines, whether country or kit wines can be filtered to crystal-clear perfection, easier, quicker and more efficiently than ever before.

The VINBRITE MK3 kit includes a filter body, support disc, locking ring, funnel, spanner, transfer tube, flow control clip, 6 Crystalbrite filter pads, with full instructions.

All parts are easy to clean and only need to be rinsed in warm water.

Two types of filter pads are available for the VINBRITE Mk3 filter,  the choice being:

  • CRYSTALBRITE pads. The latest pads are now labelled Premium Grade and supplied in red printed packs. They offer the most advanced filtering performance.
  • FILTABRITE pads. These are thick pads supplied in blue printed packs. They are slower in operation but can achieve the highest possible wine clarity.
These pads are preferred when using Tank Filtration.

FILTER ASSEMBLY - NON VENT ASSEMBLY

It's as simple as this ....

  Vinbrite Assembly
1.The Crystalbrite or Filtabrite pad is inserted inside the  filter body.
The Crystalbrite pads can be fitted either way but the Filtabrite pad MUST be fitted with the patterned side facing the support  disc.
  2. The support disc is  placed on top of the pad with the side marked 'A' facing the filter pad and with the three lugs located into the slots of the filter body
  3. Next screw the locking ring  into the filter body to secure the pad being careful not to cross the thread.
Tighten the locking ring with the spanner provided (see  photograph).
  4. Attach the funnel to the filter body.
  5. It is first necessary to rinse the pad with tap water which swells the pad material and also removes  any loose fibres.

The filter is then ready for filtering the wine.

VINPAPERS (filter papers) These are wet strength filter papers 15cm diameter and are are also available to fit the VINBRITE filter. When using these papers, the side of the support  disc marked "B" (which is flat and has no rib), must be pressed against the  filter paper. When used with the VINBRITE filter it will prevent  any loose particles from entering the wine. This may be desirable when entering  wine in competitions. Packets contain approximately 48 papers.
